Many parents start searching for  Gynecologist in bangalore after their baby is born. However, some smart ones start this process several months before their first baby is born. The main reason for this is that the moment a gynecologist cuts the umbilical cord and segregates a baby from the mother's body, the responsibility of the child is handed over to the pediatrician. Therefore, when you are pregnant and decide to shortlist a hospital where you have to deliver your baby, you should see that the hospital should have both experienced gynecologists and pediatricians.

It would be a very good idea for you to shortlist a few pediatricians four to five months before your baby is born. ·         Experience: the doctors should have some experience and should be able to diagnose a problem easily. You can find this out by the reputation of a pediatrician.

·         Time: check out the timings of consultation. The OPD should be open for sufficient number of hours; if you have to go for a follow-up then it should not mean a half-day leave for you. If you plan to consult a private practitioner, make sure that you also know of at least a couple of hospitals that deal with emergency cases.
